Interactive Classrom

The Interactive Classroom at Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) is a modern classroom designed to encourage active student participation in the learning process. This concept does not rely solely on one-way lectures from lecturers, but emphasizes two-way interaction through discussions, simulations, and collaboration. The classroom facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, such as interactive smartboards, integrated computers and tablets, and a modern audio-visual system that supports hybrid learning. Through this technology, students can participate in polls, interactive quizzes, and real-time simulations, while lecture materials, video recordings, and practice exercises can be accessed through UPH's Learning Management System (LMS).

The learning methods used in the Interactive Classroom are also highly varied, ranging from active learning that directly involves students, collaborative learning that emphasizes group work, blended learning that combines face-to-face learning with digital content, to gamification that enhances the classroom atmosphere. With this approach, students gain a deeper understanding of the material while developing communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.

For the UPH Faculty of Mathematics, the Interactive Classroom provides significant benefits, particularly in teaching applied mathematics directly using software such as Python, R, or Matlab. Abstract topics such as real-world analysis, actuarial science, and topology can be interactively visualized, making them easier for students to understand. Furthermore, this space supports additional activities such as Math Circle, seminars, and guest lectures designed to broaden students' horizons and enhance their learning experience.
